Button-fix, particularly our Type 1 Fixes, are ideal for banquette seating. Why? Because they don’t require glue or cause damage to any of the upholstered seating panels.
Button-fix can be used to invisibly attach both the seat and backrest cushions, firmly connecting the cushion baseboards to the supporting structure. Semi-rebating the Type 1 Fix into the baseboard conveniently creates a 3mm stand-off, which gives allowance for the fabric wrapping onto the back of the cushion. Unlike other concealed fasteners such as Velcro, Button-fix accurately aligns the cushions and is unlikely to detach accidentally in daily use. Yet it is just as easy to install, thanks to the helpful Button Marker accessories.

Blu Marine provide outfitting services for a major ferry operator. They needed to source a quick and accurate method of positioning and anchoring the backs of banquette seats, and one where the fixing mechanism did not intrude on or undermine the look and feel of the bespoke seating arrangement. The invisibility, incredible strength and ease of installation offered by Button-fix made it the obvious choice for Blu Marine.
Using approximately 350 Button-fix Type 1 fasteners, Blu Marine secured the backs of the banquette seats to the substrate. This allowed for a discrete and secure fixing that could be fastened quickly and efficiently.
