Connects panels at 90° or to a frame and engages with a straight push. Ideal for panels with no clearance above or at the side and applications where the emphasis is on ease of access.
Both parts of the connector are moulded from nylon - a strong and robust engineering polymer. As a general guide, four Button-fix Type 2 fasteners on a vertical panel will support loads weighing up to a maximum of 110lbs (50kg), provided that the screws and substrate are properly matched and all other installation instructions are complied with. Never use Type 2 Button-fix on ceiling panels. Manufactured in the UK.

When service access to plumbing or electrical wiring is a priority, Button-fix Type 2 is an ideal choice.
Typical uses include:
The Type 2 Fix is mounted to the back of the removable panel and the Type 2 Button to the side panel or supporting frame. The Fix Marker accessory makes sure the Button and Fix are correctly aligned.
The Fix Marker for Type 2 helps to quickly and accurately align the Button-fix installation, reducing the need for measuring and marking out.
Assemble the Marker onto a Fix with a Button to correctly align the Button-fix to the panel edge. Then position the removable panel and press firmly. The marker points will leave indents in the panel surface, which can be used as pilot guides for the Fixes.
The Safety Cord should be used in all applications of Type 2 Button-fix where extra safety is required.
On a vertical panel install two Safety Cords, one to each Fix in the top corners. An additional Button is required to capture the loop on the Safety Cord. To remove the panel completely, ease the loop on the Safety Cord off the Button.
