Bonding to compact laminate
Adhesive specialists JIT demonstrate how best to glue Type 1 Bonded Fixes to compact laminate panels, using Parabond Fast - a high bond polymer adhesive.
JIT have prepared a guide giving a step-by-step description of how they used Parabond Fast, a high bond polymer adhesive formulated for use with a wide range of construction materials, to create a robust mounting for high pressure laminate wall and ceiling panels. The process has been tested in the laboratories of the Parabond manufacturer, DL Chemicals, and in a real-life installation by Eurowall in Santiago, Chile.
Using Type 1 Bonded Button-fix with Parabond Fast adhesive allows compact laminate panels as thin as 6mm to be invisibly mounted, with no visible screws or rivet fixings. Ideal for durable and water-resistant interior cladding, everywhere from receptions to washrooms
