The Button-fix concept is simple: robust Buttons are attached to the background structure and the mating Fixes are attached to the removable panel. Push on the panel firmly until the Button-fixes ‘click’. We offer a versatile range of fasteners to suit many different applications. We also offer complementary accessories to help make the Button-fix installation quick and easy.
The Button Marker for both Type 1 and Type 3 helps to quickly and accurately align the Button-fix installation, reducing the need for measuring and marking out.
Snap a marker into each Fix, then position the second panel and press firmly. The marker points will leave indents in the panel surface, which can be used as pilot guides for the Buttons.
The Fix Marker for Type 2 helps to quickly and accurately align the Button-fix installation, reducing the need for measuring and marking out.
Assemble the Marker onto a Fix with a Button to correctly align the Button-fix to the panel edge. Then position the removable panel and press firmly. The marker points will leave indents in the panel surface, which can be used as pilot guides for the Fixes.
Self-adhesive Fix-pads for Type 1 Bonded are ideal for light duty applications where speed of assembly is important.
For the best results we advise that the Fixes are used in the rebated configuration.
The Multijig helps when machining the oval recesses required for rebated configurations of Button-fix.
The Multijig frame is clear acrylic, so that you can see the workpiece below, and has printed guide marks. It has three clearly labelled apertures dimensioned to suit the Type 1, Type 1 Flush, Type 1 Bonded and Type 1 Metal Fixes.
The Safety Cord should be used in all applications of Type 2 Button-fix where extra safety is required.
On a vertical panel install two Safety Cords, one to each Fix in the top corners. An additional Button is required to capture the loop on the Safety Cord. To remove the panel completely, ease the loop on the Safety Cord off the Button.
